Hey there Jeff just thought i would send you a little note in regards to the outreach. So the outreach went really well, the youth from the Fil-Am lead worship, as we were setting up and cooking. you could really feel the holy spirit come into the complex. Pastor Ronnie spoke about how much the lord loves all the children of the area, he spoke about how like them he has been in tough circumstances and how the lord has brought him through. The kids worship again as we feed about 50 people kids and adults. Again the holy spirit was very present, Pastor Ron then asked me to give a testimony. I took my son up with me to share how he comes from a broken home like many of the kids there, i explained to the kids that the love of Jesus can and will get them through all trials an tribulations of life, our theme was oh how he loves me, my son professed his love to the lord he told the other kids how much he loved Jesus and how much Jesus loves them. We tried to show them that we were like them that we are not perfect, but thru our imperfection the lord doesn't love us any less and shows mercy on us, much more than we can ever fathom. Sweetie and Cutie sang a few more songs, we had kids go and make cards for Fathers day, with Christina and Benita. All the supplies were provided by the grace of god Amen the kids really enjoyed that they were able to give their father a card and thou they were not purchased they were made with their own hands which was awesome. The youth from the Fil-am gave a few more testimonies about how they came to the lord and how they are saved now, and especially how they are not ashamed to declare his name on high. By this time you could sense that the holy spirit was having an impact on not only kids but the adults as well. After a few testimonies the youth put on the skit of the young girl as she walked with the lord and then she began to follow the secular world but i love how they show that the lord never leaves her side and he is there no matter what she goes through, and how he is there to comfort her as she comes back to him, he welcomes her with open arms. After the skit Pastor Ron spoke and asked if anyone had felt like the girl in the skit as he spoke the lord must have worked in some of the peoples hearts there because we had an alter call and several kids and ADULTS went up for prayer. The youth from the Fil-am were there to pray for some as myself, Ron and Christina, as well as Benita were all available and praying for kids and adults. I felt the holy spirit very present there one thing that was mentioned is when can we and are we gonna go back, seems like people really enjoy to have the presence of the lord there. I would like to thank the Love and Blessing crew for all they do and how obedient to the lord they are, they are truly an inspiration to me and my walk with the lord. love you guys.
thank you

Neighborhood Outreach
El Paso, Texas
April 23, 2011
The Love and Blessing Ministry had the opportunity to serve the people in a neighborhood here in El Paso; a neighborhood that has a reputation of for trouble. We had a jumping balloon for the kids, a Jump Rope Ministry Team and food and music for everyone. The children were just waiting for us to start but the funny thing is the adults seemed almost shy about coming. I guess that it is hard for a lot of us to believe that the Love of God will move for each of us, no strings attached. Children are more willing to accept love like that!!
Ray, his son and friends sang worship songs. We had Pastor Ron share the word, telling us all how the Lord loves us even through all our mistakes and our circumstances. He encouraged the kids to look past all these things and to just let the Lord lead them and not look back. To make good choices and to trust that God will never let them go, no matter what.
The girls on the jump rope team performed for the families and then some of the kids who in the audience were asked to take part. These kids took a risk and found out that they could do something they didn’t think they were capable of. At the end of the outreach, Mark, one of our ministers, had us all sing about how Jesus us loves us and he reminded us to trust in this perfect Love.
You can see that God’s love starts to seep in and be received especially by the children during these times. You can see it in their eyes and in their smiles. You see that their hearts just happy and joyful. Outreaches like this always remind me of how much the Lord loves each of us so very much. He will come to us where ever we are because we are His very own. His children!!
