From Pastor Ronnie

This is a new page that we are starting it will be from a Good Guy That Has Learned to Rely on God!!  Get to know him.  He might be serious but you've got to be to Be Free to  Enjoy Good Things!   I know him personally and if you came from fighting God and doing wrong you would understand.

A bad decision is a down payment on Tomorrows Sorrows only to reap what we've sown!

That has been true in my life and the life of a 65 year old retired veteran, who was convicted for his fifth DUI resulting in a 15 year prison sentence.  Having mercy, the Judge suspended his sentence in exchange for one year intense probation.  Defined more clearly, "house arrest."

The conditions were very clear!  "Stay out of trouble, and you stay out of prison! ".   But he refused to obey the Judges orders and went on a camping trip instead.  Sadly to say, he never made it.  He was sited and arrested for speeding and unbelievably another DUI.  He traded away his freedom, he traded away his future, and most likely his life.  The judge revoked the 15 suspended sentence and sent him to prison for the full 15 years.

'There is a way  that seems right to a man but the end thereof is death.'

Proverbs 16:25 (NKJV)

The nation of Judah made the same devastating mistake, refusing to obey God, they walked in the foolishness of the their hearts.  Trading away the sovereign God who created heaven and earth and everything in it.  They pursued and gave themselves to serve other gods, (things of the world).

'Has a nation ever exchanged its gods?

Actually they are not gods at all

But my people have traded away their glorious God.

They have traded me for worthless statues of gods.'

Jeremiah 2:11

'For my people are foolish,

They have not known me.

They are silly children,

And they have no understanding.

They are wise to do evil,

But to do good, they have no knowledge.'

Jeremiah, 4.22

The consequences of their choices would be costly.  Not only would it affect them individually but as a nation they would be taken away to Babylon and held captive for 70 years.

Are you captive to a bad choice?

Nothing but repentance would save them......yet they shook their heads and said,

'It's not use, we will continue with our own plans (desires), each of us will follow the stubbornness of his heart.

Jeremiah  18:12 (AMS)

I believe they were saying;  "We went too far, it is just too late for us.  Were just beyond any hope......"

Have you ever felt that way?

Feeling like you really messed up this time, or just gone too far.  Maybe feeling like God doesn't love you anymore?

The bible tells us even great people of the bible fell short.

---Moses traded the promise land for an outburst of anger.  (Numbers 20)

---Esau traded away his birthright for a little more food.  (Genesis 25)

---King David traded his reputation for a night of pleasure.  (2 Samuel 11)

Tragically, in the book of Acts Ananias and his wife Sapphira traded away their lives for a little extra cash.  (Acts 5)

What bad trade-offs have you make?

Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed because His compassion's fail not.  They are new every morning......

Yes!  His loving kindness and forgiveness have never changed.  It was available then and it is just as available today!

"For I know the thoughts that I think towards you," says the Lord,  "thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.  And you will seek Me and find Me, when search for me with all of your heart.  I will be found by you," says the Lord, "and I will bring you back from your captivity;  I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you,"  says the Lord, "and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive."

Jeremiah 29: 4-14 (NKJV)

The cause of Judahs shame was it's failure to heed to the words of God.  Nevertheless, God kept His promise and brought them home.  Jesus doesn't desire anyone to perish but for everyone to have everlasting life.

It begins today!  Jesus, is just waiting for you to come home.

Dear Heavenly father, we all have failed one way or another.  We've made bad decisions and choices that have separated us from your plan of salvation.  As my Maker I know that you have a special interest in my welfare.  And know what is best for me.  Because you can do more with my life than I can.  You are the God who made me, so please remake me in your image. That this life you have given me brings you glory to your name Jesus,  Amen.

Bless the Lord oh my soul!
